Date Night at Home Depot

Friday we had dinner with my parents follow by a visit to Home Depot. We learned something - not a lot of people go to Home Depot on Friday night. One of the people working there started to help us out and then just went aisle to aisle with us the night. It's the first time I've had a personal shopping assistant at the Depot, and it was nice. Though it was pointed out that we're not allowed to call ourselves newly-weds when our Friday night date night involves shopping at the Depot.
We've done a bunch of nice updates to the house as part of it. We replaced the show rods in the master with shower hooks. We changed out the other bathroom to a double towel bar. Mrs.Chaos is building jewelry cases inside of shadow boxes and mounting them to the wall. I've got to finish installed the fence in front of the AC unit and putting up the motion sensing light on the front door. We still have done the big change yet--built in desks in the office.
On Sunday we did a little more of a "traditional" date. Mrs.Chaos and I went out Kart Racing followed up by Korean food. I think she had an awesome time and she's ready to go back again. I expect to be sore tomorrow for the experience. Driving without power steering can be hard work ! I did pretty well in both laps we went though. We'll see when the next kart racing date night rolls around.
